Cho Light

The Cho Light, designed by Dimitri Bähler for Established & Sons, is an exercise in literal and visual lightness.

A globe of crumpled, off-white, traditional Japanese Washi paper holds a custom low voltage LED bulb, creating a diffused, ambient glow upon your space. The light is easily dimmable with a continuous foot dimmer switch. The shade balances upon a fine 6mm diameter carbon-fibre rod, which extends up from a weighted, strengthened base to create the design’s almost impossibly light appearance. Adding to the design's poetic and ephemeral nature, the rod produces a dance-like movement when touched, injecting playfulness and dimension into what is otherwise a deceptively simple design.

The Cho Light shade comes with a built-in balloon and valve mechanism for easy inflation. Available in four sizes.
